Melt-in-Your-Mouth Sponge Cake




Ingredients:



  • 🥚 4 eggs
  • 🍬 1 cup sugar
  • 🌾 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 🥛 1/2 cup milk
  • 🧈 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 🧂 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 🍋 Lemon zest to taste (optional)


Directions:


  1. 01 -> Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking pan with butter and flour.
  2. 02 -> In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. 03 -> Add the milk and melted butter, mixing well.
  4. 04 -> Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture and gently fold it in.
  5. 05 -> If desired, add lemon zest for a special touch.
  6. 06 -> Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for about 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. 07 -> After baking, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before unmolding.
  8. ✨ Tip: Serve with your favorite topping or simply dust with powdered sugar. Everyone will love it!
