Melt-in-Your-Mouth Sponge Cake
Ingredients:
- 🥚 4 eggs
- 🍬 1 cup sugar
- 🌾 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 🥛 1/2 cup milk
- 🧈 1/2 cup melted butter
- 🧂 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 🍋 Lemon zest to taste (optional)
Directions:
- 01 -> Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking pan with butter and flour.
- 02 -> In a bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- 03 -> Add the milk and melted butter, mixing well.
- 04 -> Sift the flour and baking powder over the mixture and gently fold it in.
- 05 -> If desired, add lemon zest for a special touch.
- 06 -> Pour the batter into the greased pan and bake for about 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- 07 -> After baking, remove from the oven and let cool slightly before unmolding.
